5th Quarters

Location, Location, Location. Those are the three most important things when talking about real estate, but location is also an important factor when discussing our 5th Quarter ministry to North Lincoln High School. We are located less than a mile from the school and that makes us a prime spot to host these outreach events. After every North Lincoln regular season home football game we invite the students to show up at Macedonia for a time of food, fellowship, prizes, football highlights, and of course an opportunity to hear the gospel message.

Last year we averaged about 150 students at 5th Quarters with our largest crowd being 225 the night that FLYNN preformed. This year we have already seen our largest crowd ever for the first 5th Quarter of the season. SYNERGY Student Ministries host these events along with North Lincolns FCA. Every year we have seen young people come to Christ as a result of these events.

In order to make an event like this a reality we need the help of a lot of volunteers. Hosted by the Student Ministry Team, setup usually begins around 5:30pm on the day of the event and involves setting up the outdoor stage with sound, lights and video. The Fellowship Ministry Team also needs assistance in setting up the food service area which includes the grill and the Coke fountain. Once the outdoor venue is ready we await the arrival of the students following the game. During the 5th Quarter volunteers are needed to assist with food service, registration, security, and the evenings program which usually ranges from guest speaker to musical guest. Following the conclusion of the event volunteers are needed to assist with tear down and clean up. The more people we have to help with this, the quicker we can get all of our volunteers home, so please consider being a part of this ministry.
